Audio Sample Pack

Milap is excited to present the Instruments INDIA Sample Pack; the first in a new generation of sample packs that celebrate the live musicians and vocalists who make them possible, shine a light on the musical heritage they belong to and introduce producers around the world to the artists pushing the boundaries of contemporary Indian music.

Drawn from the extensive Instruments INDIA archive, this pack features high-quality recordings of master Indian musicians and emerging talents playing widely known traditional instruments such as the sitar, tabla, and harmonium and a range of rare folk instruments you might not have heard before. Each sample has been carefully curated in consultation with the musicians themselves, allowing you to repurpose the beautiful sounds of their performances while paying homage to age-old musical traditions.

The Instruments INDIA project reassesses the role that professional musicians play in sample pack culture, re-centring their expertise and musical lineage. Click the links below to learn more about the instruments featured in this pack and the world-renowned musicians who play them.
